HEALTH CONCERNS

Support for clients working through health concerns with their physician.

If you're here because you or your doctor suspect mold may be connected to symptoms you've been experiencing, you're not alone, and you're in the right place. A meaningful part of James's work over his 18 years in this field has involved supporting clients in exactly this situation, often in coordination with a physician, including functional and integrative medicine practitioners, who has requested specific testing or documentation of conditions in the home.

James takes the time to understand what your doctor is looking for, whether that means a particular type of sampling or a closer look at an area others might overlook, and explains lab results clearly, without jargon.

To be clear: Apex Property Assurance does not diagnose or treat any health condition, and nothing on this page should be taken as medical advice. Our role is to give you, and your physician, an accurate, independent picture of what's actually in your home. Because Apex only inspects and tests, and never performs remediation, that picture is never shaped by an incentive to sell you a cleanup job.

What EPA and CDC say about mold and health

We share their guidance here rather than offering our own health opinions:

  • “Inhaling or touching mold or mold spores may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals… allergic responses include hay fever-type symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, red eyes, and skin rash.” Source: U.S. EPA ↗
  • “Exposure to damp and moldy environments may cause a variety of health effects, or none at all. For some people, mold can cause a stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing or wheezing, burning eyes, or skin rash. People with asthma or who are allergic to mold may have severe reactions.” Source: CDC ↗

Apex Property Assurance provides independent mold inspection and testing only. We are not medical professionals and do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. If you're concerned mold may be affecting your health, please consult a licensed physician.
